Much like the boy who cried wolf, I am making yet another tentative claim for a ‘last gig of the summer’. In fairness, this was one that was impossible to turn down; a really distinctive night run by the fantabulous Francesca Baker- aka andsoshethinks– combining readings of short stories followed by cover versions of the songs that inspired them. I have contributed a wee story of my own to the publication and am privileged to be on the musician team also. This means I won’t be playing any of my own tunes for a change, but will be enjoying wrapping my chops around some new and notorious songs. It’s a snip at a mere £3 which includes a copy of the first publication, so do punt along to the delightful Gallery Cafe for an unbeatable night’s entertainment.
