This is a track I recorded for the album that didn’t quite make the cut. It’s the only song that was piano led rather than guitar, with the ivories being skilfully manipulated by my good friend Simon Greenwood. Thematically, it’s more from my old stable of angst; reflections on the passing of time and the book of Ecclesiastes. I actually wrote the song in my head when I was surfing in Australia in 2010, and had to wait a fortnight till I got hold of a guitar to actually fit the lyrics and melody around some (admittedly simple) chords. I think it worked out okay in the end. I hope you enjoy it.
